I became involved so quickly because in only one semester at Marist, the Music Department gave me something that I believe every college first-year looks to find: a home. I was welcomed into the program with open arms and was considered part of the family from the start. I came into Marist knowing how to play my instruments, but the music program taught me how to create with them, perform with them, and use my skills in ways that I never imagined I could.

Music Camp at Marist was where I had first met many of my college friends, and where I first found a sense of belonging, and family. It was at that moment, that I knew I would love it here at Marist. No one judged anyone else’s ability to play, and we were all seen as the same; a member of the Marist Orchestra. Although I am not particularly musically inclined, I still really enjoy playing the violin, and I was able to continue improving throughout the years I have been here at Marist.
